EasyChat Privacy Policy

EasyChat is a chat app that translates messages and photos between languages. This page explains what information the app uses and why.

What we collect

• Your name and EasyChat ID, which you choose when you sign up. Other people use your EasyChat ID to find you.
• Your language, so we know which language to translate messages into.
• Your messages and photos, so they can be delivered to the person you are chatting with.
• An anonymous account ID made by Firebase, so the app knows which chats are yours. We do not ask for your email or phone number.

How it is used

Only to run the app: to sign you in, deliver messages and photos, and translate them. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Who processes it

• Google Firebase stores accounts, messages and photos.
• Google Gemini receives the text of a message, or the photo you send, so it can be translated. Photos may be sent to Gemini to find and translate the text in them.

Reports and blocking

You can block a person or report them from inside a chat. If you report a person or a bad translation, a copy of the reported message and your note is sent to the EasyChat team so we can review it. We review reports within 24 hours and remove abusive users.

Camera and photos

EasyChat only accesses the camera or photo library when you choose to send a photo.

Who can see your chats

Only the people in the chat. Your messages are not public.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account inside the app: on the chat list, tap Delete my account. This removes your profile, your EasyChat ID and your sign-in. You can also email tommypurcelljr@gmail.com and we will remove your account and messages.

Children

EasyChat is not directed at children under 13.
